Airport Layout & Navigational Control
As the Consultant will perform inventories of all physical facilities and existing land use within the present boundaries of any airport. Preparation of Planimetrics, including maps, photographs,drawings and other data, including FAA Form 5010-1 and FAA obstruction charts, will be provided. The inventory will identify and describe existing facilities as to
type, condition, adequacy and compliance or non-compliance with FAA standards,
and will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Airfield
- Runway & Taxiway length, width, line of sight, and end elevations.
- Runway & Taxiway obstructions and safety areas.
- Apron area & number of tie-down spots.
- Lighting & NAVAIDS (visual and instrument).
Terminal Complex
- Parking and ground access to airport facilities.
- Fixed base operators and other airport tenants.
- Hangars and other buildings.
Support
- Maintenance.
- Utilities.
- Fueling facilities and associated airport services.
Land Use
- Existing zoning in the vicinity of the airport.
- Existing land uses on and in the vicinity of the airport.
- Boundary and topographic surveys for preparation of Master Plan for general aviation airports, including design surveys for drainage and stormwater handling facilities, land acquisition/deed research, design surveys for runway, taxiway and taramac paving.
- Land surveys for lighting design, geodetic control of non-directional beacons.
- Aerial mapping control by GPS to facilitate the total mapping airport facilities.
- Surveying layout and control for Runway Extensions, Taxiway Improvements, Apron Replacements, Hanger Areas, Navigation Aids ,Airport Master Plans ,Heliports.
